Choose Your Options - Use only the search options
that you need - leave the others blank.
Words
in Title - Enter words that must appear in the title. For different
word endings, use the ? wildcard. Example: REDUC? searches for reduce, reduces, reducing, reduction,
etc.
Combine
words to get specific
information. You can use the following operators: AND, OR, NOT, entering
two (or more) words separated by the space requests that terms be adjacent
but in any order (example 1:
LASER BEAM, example 2: STARTER? GENERATOR? VEHICLE?). Two (or more) words separated by the
hyphen requests that terms be adjacent to
each other and in the order specified (example 1: LASER-BEAM,
example 2:
STARTER?-GENERATOR?-VEHICLE?). You can use
wildcards as described above.
Main
Subject - Use this option to search words that need to appear in
the subject keywords or identifiers. You can use wildcards and combine
words, as described above.
Publication -
This field is searchable only as the full name and as the abbreviated
name, displayable as the full name. Use the wildcard if you are not sure
what is the correct name. Example: JOURNAL OF PHYSIC?
Document type - Select one item, specific types relevant for some database only
are marked by the database acronym.
Publication year - Select "From-To". If you search more databases at the same time
do not forget to check you cover the correct years (see the database
descriptions using the
icon on the top of this
form)
